ApoA-1 mimetic to reduce aortic stenosis.

Heart.org has an article on ApoA-1 mimetic.Infusion of this peptide reduced the sinus wall thickness and improved aortic-valve area and the total collagen content of aortic stenotic aortic valves in mice.Testts on humans will begin early 2014.Let us all pray.

It would be great if in the future young people with functional bicuspid valves could take a tablet to prevent eventual stenosis; something that prevents calcium deposition in the first place. I hope that one day OHS will be a thing of the past.
