Numbers continued to improve, with Nathan's ejection fraction now 54-56% (from 40% at the time of surgery) and the left ventrical hypertrophy has improve, on the upper side of normal, but still normal (from previous moderate-severe cardiomegally/cardiomyopathy) Having a little cholesterol issue, but hoping a little more Crestor will take care of that 
So grateful for the help offered from this site when we first came here with Nathan's endocarditis. It is hard to comprehend at the time of surgery a positive outcome is in your reach, and that sometimes it can take a while. There was an interesting connective tissue disorder convention going on today at the Mayo, and the valve center was very busy relating to this--although Nathan had a non-Marf's BAV, it still would have been interesting to attend.
