Just passed 11 years on my borrowed Aortic Valve. (Homograph)
Not too shabby giving my age and activity level.

Due for an On-X replacement on March 19th.
Hoping this one will go the distance.

That's what they are designed to do. I doubted the docs when they told me my valve would last 50 years......so far, they were right....and given the adances in technology, your new valve "will go the distance".

Eleven years doesn't sound bad with a homograft, but I'm sure you're looking forward to a lifetime with the new On-x you'll receive. Best wishes as you wait on replacement. You know better than most that waiting is often the worst part of the process.
