    Heart Cath coming up...

Thanks Lyn... I did speak to my doctor and it didn't make things much clearer.

    Heart Cath coming up...

Thanks Judy and Lyn... So Global hypokinesia would be the entire heart having decreased movement? Could this be from the complete LBBB? What does Dyskineses mean then? I always thought dys- was opposite or does it mean "bad" or "messed" up in this case?

    Heart Cath coming up...

Thanks Duff... yes, I've had a cath done before, but that was 25 years ago and I think that is what scares me. That and the "what if" thoughts. I remember the intense heat feeling when they shot me up with the contrast and it scared the heck out of me. The other thing that concerns me is my...

    Heart Cath coming up...

Hi all... I haven't visited the site for some time, but I do have a question. I recently had a Nuclear Exercise Stress test and my doc has recomended that I have a Heart Cath to see what exactly is going on. Can anyone help me with the following findings, as I'm not sure what they mean...

Prescriptions for meters and supplies? Really?

I too don't agree that you should require an Rx for the supplies and tester, but then maybe the reason being is to ensure that the user follows the advice of their MD. Meaning, if I didn't need an Rx to get one, I could go to Acme Tester Store, drop my money down and buy one, and then just...

    Retirement?

Ross, you know how I work it. You tick me off, I don;t give a warning, I ban you. Now if the member comes back for an explanation and presents a good case, or reconciliation, I give them a second chance and let them back in on probation. I find it works almost 98% of the time. I know, it...

    Farewell

All I can say is this. This is Hank's living room (in a way). If you show up to Hanks place, and act out of hand, it would be understandable for hm to ask you to leave, and if you refuse, to have him throw you out. Now, I have been away for some time, and just stumbled upon this, so I don't...

    Joke time

Ethel was a bit of a demon in her wheelchair, and loved to charge around the nursing home, taking corners on one wheel and getting up to maximum speed on the long corridors. Because the poor woman was one sandwich short of a picnic the other residents tolerated her and some of them actually...

    Dental Question

But am I not pre medicated if I have been taking Biaxin for the last 10 days and continuing with the Biaxin for another 10?

    Approved for monitor!!!

Hmmm... when I got mine from QAS, they just did the training on the phone, and then made me take it to my doctors office to demonstrate that I knew how to use it, and had me get the doctor to sign off. Glad to see things have changed.

My new dog -- Mr. Jackel & Dr. Hyde

Sounds like she/he needs some doggie socialization. We had a dog that was sort of like this, but was a Lab, so he was bigger and more scary. I would suggest taking her to Petsmart (or any other place that does training) and just doing the basic obedience class. This will help bond her with...

    Dental Question

Quick question. I lost a filling this AM and need to get to the dentist ASAP (new experience in tooth sensitivity every time I inhale). Since the dentist is just redoing the filling and will not be digging into my gums or anything, do I really need to pre medicate? Also, I have been...

Sort of healthy . . . from Mr. Food

Wow, that sounds good. Only thing I might add would be some nice thinly sliced onions. Ya know, it almost sounds like the topping of a Margarita Pizza when you think of it (Tomatoes, Basil, Mozzarella).

    Activities in Hospital after surgery

I was about 10 days in the hospital, but you will be doing all kinds of things. I remember going stir crazy after a while. Bring your laptop, as most hospitals have WiFi, bring some books, whatever. I was quite tired most of the time, but it was fun diverting my attention to something else...

    Pain relief question

What's the deal with acid reflux and Advil? I thought it was stomach ulcers that we wanted to be careful with.

    coagcheck xs vs inratio2

I have the INRatio2 and love it. I don't think you will go wrong with either model. I'm not sure about the CoaguChek, but for the INRation2, you don't need to worry about refrigerating the test strips. With my old Protime monitor, that was always a big concern.
