Six years ago tonight I was on a vent in the ICU. Glad it is 6 years later! Very grateful to be here and MV repaired. Quite a few cardiac issues since the day of surgery but things have been going well for a while now. Just wanted to share the day with all of you.:

I wasn't able to post on this forum when I celebrated my 4 year anniversary. I am happy to be back online with VR. Things with my heart have been going very well. I am grateful every day that I saw the doctor for a cardiac workup after 5 years. They caught the changes in the valve just in time.

I recommended this site to my friend Jane who was awaiting AVR. She tried to register the night before her admission to the hospital but was unable to post. I saw her in the hospital today. She had AVR last Tues. 3/10/09 and is doing as well as anyone can 6 days out. She will be going home today...

just wanted to say "hi". It was not an easy experience but I just got home. I am still taking Percocet so I am woozy but just stopped by to say I am back. I had a semiprivate room and the lady with me had her TV on all night. I got no sleep. I am really tired. I will check back tomorrow.
