So Upset. My baby has BAV...

Hi Tiger, I know how this feels, and I empathize with you. I was misdiagnosed with BAV about a year ago (not complaining), and I was just sure my kid was going to have it as well. Odds are that if your child becomes symptomatic, it won't be until they're in their thirties or beyond. If you read...

    Over the top, on descent

Are you sure that the wife didn't club you? You can never be too sure. I have caught my wife trying to cover my face/nose when snoring. :-P

Today feels like a new day

Hi Canon, Sorry you are having a bad time lately. I don't think anyone thinks you are complaining for no good reason. I know you we're slightly offended by something said in the forum recently, just remember that it's easy to misinterpret things said online, or to be misinterpreted (also no...

    Post Op effects.

My wife tries to get me to do this when I have hiccups. Guess what, by the time I figure out how to drink water like that, the hiccups are gone! Miracles never cease! :-)

Out of the Waiting Room and on the Road to Recovery

Hello (moooo) Miss Annabelle, So happy to hear your procedure is behind you and that you're on the road to recovery with many of us. This may be bad advice. See post further down, apparantly recliner position may be clot prone?: I can't speak to your current post-surgery questions, but have...

    Vicodan - How long?

Hi Sten, Interesting topic. I was also given a good amount of hydrocodone and will prob. not even fill my one allowed refill. My surgery was May 28th, and I started to notice what IMO were negative effects of being on opiates this long. I agree with the "don't be a hero" sentiments, these drugs...

ON-X valve, do you require a wind machine to get to sleep?

I like the sound of my ticker. I only hear it at certain times; small rooms or being around walls seems to amplify the sound, like if I'm in a bathroom or closet. As others have said on here -- sound means it's working. :-) It sounds like a timepiece. Classy!

    Still Here (Hospital)

Rash mostly resolved/on the way out. I feel pretty good. Am not really sure if I should be active or resting, heh. I know the answer is a mix. I have been lazying around a bit the last two days... I am doing well though. Thanks for asking!

    Day 12

And yes, no symptoms is amazing even if I'm sore!

    Day 12

I feel similarly as you. I also need that afternoon nap, I'm on the same day of recovery as you basically. I am slowly getting over temperature issues each day (less sensitivity to warm/cold sensations). I did feel a little more sore today than yesterday which surprised me, but maybe it was...

    Still Here (Hospital)

Hi guys. I am doing really well at home now. I don't suffer from the quirky symptoms I did before the surgeon fixed ~3 things for me. Happy day!

    Feel like train hit me

Heh. I felt like one of those vikings from the credit card commercials jumped into the air and brought his battle ax down through my chest. Heh. OK, maybe not that bad. You get drugs and the pain is short-lived.

    Day 9 (3.01 am)

"I couldn't believe how much I cried this time around (especially day 3 and 4) - I don't think enough is made of what the heart represents to us and is at the core of our being - examples include ... the heart of the matter, the sacred heart of Jesus, Cupid. (I need to think about this point...
