I took the electric razor advice as an excuse to buy something I already wanted. I've also used normal razors, however, I think I'll stay away from the open blade types.:D

Welcome Layne, I know the way to San Jose... I had my AVR done at Good Sam in SJ back in 1998 by Dr. Henry Fee. He's a great Cardiac Surgeon if you're looking for one. You really can't go wrong in that areas with Stanford near by and so many "heart" hospitals in close proximity. Regards, Eric

I received 2 units about 6 days post-op. At first I didn't want it and checked with a friend who is an RN. She said, "Get it, they don't offer blood unless you really need it" I felt much better afterward and was sent home the next day.
