Hey all,
A year ago this morning I had a life transforming valve replacement. Luckily a few months before OHS I found and lurked around this site. It continues to educate me. Thanks to each of you for helping me before, during, and after. I cherish you all.
I am doing great. I have no symptoms and don't really think about my valve because it behaves so well. Lurking around this site each day reminds me that something special happened and that I should always be thankful. If anything, my OHS made me a little more emotional and hopefully more appreciative. I try to hang on to those feelings. I feel that I've been blessed and given a great gift. I hope you do too.
I had planned to take today off and do something fun, but I ended up working instead and that was actually OK. I like my job and it was great to be able to do it. For everybody else at work today it was just another day. For me it was special and I think it's OK that no one really noticed it was my valversary. That means everything is normal and isn't that what we all want? Hey, I'm there.
So here's looking for another 19 (at least) good years before having to climb that mountain again. I'll be ready when the time comes.
You guys take care. Gotta go...my sweetie just brought me a bowl of ice cream... she remembered.
