As far as
i am concerned daylight savings time is the most useless thing anybody ever decided to try this does not actually change the number of da ligh thours It is supposed to save energy. Whoever decided that did not know anything about the deep south. We have only turned our ac off for 1 week in the past 2 years :(how does this save energy:D

Springtime! Please! Though it's been in the 70s and 80s this week (YAH!) and I've been working from home so I get to see a little sun when I take the dogs out.

I hate winter, even in Texas. I hate the cold and the dark. :( Hooray for spring and Daylight's savings time, so I can see sun in the morning and in the evening!

Were being teased up here. It's nearly 50 right now, supposed to hit 57. About the same tomorrow until tomorrow evening, then it's back to winter and 30. I hate it.

Boy, Ross, you're lucky. 57 in February is pretty good. Until tomorrow, of course.
My DH is in Pittsburgh this week. In PGH it was 7 degrees on Tuesday when he arrived. I think it got up to 40 yesterday, though. BRRRRRR.

Yeap, it was 8 here Tuesday and now this 50+. It hardly seems fair and that's what I mean by teasing. I'm about 150 miles from the burg, but all my wifes family is from there.

been in upper 90's all week, tomorrow supposed to break 100. already stored the
comforters and am sleeping nackedly. should be fine until monsoon season hits.

we don't do daylight savings here.

:p
You may have warm weather, but we've got FLUSH TOILETS!:D

almost got a flush toilet....i got a flush bathroom!!! the whole room gets a good
flushing every night! the shower is directly over the squattie hole, requiring care
not to slip!! this is actually a good thing....not the slipping in part....as the 'toilet'
flushy part doesn't work all that well (nicely ripe in warm weather). still, you'd think
they'd engineer the shower to be off to the side. plumbing is not a bright spot in
chinese development. many of the older buildings have very poorly designed pipes,
such that flushing paper is not recommended. there's a little trash can next to the
squattie where you can make a deposit.

Eva-

I'm glad you posted about daylight savings time.

I wouldn't know here, that spring was around the corner :) We had snow again this morning. And we still have several feet of old snow on the ground. This has been one of the worst and longest winters in my memory.

It is supposed to warm up some today and tomorrow.

So a little more daylight will feel good.

Are we forgetting that Pauxatawney (spelling?) Phil said 6 more weeks of winter at the beginning of Feb.:confused::confused: I am not a particular fan of Daylight Savings Time, but it is nice getting to work at 6:30 and it is already light. :)

Man when I worked, it didn't matter if it was daylight savings time or not. I went to work in the dark and came home in the dark. florescent lighting was my only sunlight.

Well Ross, the daylight to which I was referring was what I get to see as I walk from my car to the employee door. The rest of the time, no window, forced air to breathe and tons of coughing/sneezing thoughtless people. Ah well. At least I'm alive...:D

We welcome the DST around here.....Bring It On!!
I get another of darkness in the morning to sleep,
and hubby has another hour of daylight in the evening to play outside.
It doesn't save us anything on electricity because we only use a couple of CFLs in the evening anyway.

Well electricity is what they want us to think, but oil is what it's about. Now they say, more studies are needed which = more $$$ to be spent on something silly.
