Hope you get better - and stay that way!!

A friend got out of the hospital today after an 11-day stay, 9 of those in ICU -- for pneumonia. Her doctor gave her shots on 12/30, but I'm not sure about antibiotics. She was in the hospital by 1/2 or 1/3.

There's nasty stuff out there just waiting to bite you on the rump!!!!!

:)

Thanks Bubba. Thanks to Pam for giving me a call. Well this all started Christmas Break. We had planned on going over to our Daughter?s but Peggy came down with the bug first. She was sneezing and coughing and couldn?t keep anything down, even medicine. We almost made an ER run one night because she was having such a bad time. It broke (the first time) Christmas day and we were able to visit with friends during the day. I know we were probably just sharing our germs but at least none of them seem to have gotten as sick as we were. The day after Christmas I started feeling lousy. President Bush had given all the government workers off Friday after Christmas but I spend most of my day off in bed hacking and coughing. By Monday it had broke enough that with the help of Dayquil and Benadryl I was able to function at work.

We took off for my Daughter?s New Year?s. When we got back Peggy was starting to feel bad again. She finally went to the Doctor?s 7 Jan and loaded down with pills. I was not 100 per cent but actually didn?t feel too bad. But by the 9th it hit me again. I started popping Dayquil and Nitequil in a feeble attempt to fight it off. By Monday the 12th I popped my Dayquil and hit the road for work. By time I got to the office I was sneezing and coughing. I told my boss I was just going back home. All day Tuesday I nursed on Gatorade and water to make sure I stayed hydrated. I am back here at the office today. I guess I?ll wait for the next round to start.

Again, thanks to everyone for worrying about us. I?ve peeked in a few times. Ann?s description of her illness sounds about was Peggy and I have been going thru. I hope the worst is over.

Danny

So many ppl get sick over Christmas.....we avoided all gatherings because of it, but hubby went to the neighbour's bonfire/pot luck on the 27th and got a bad cold afterwards.
Pls take care of yourself and don't rush into things. You are a smart guy, rest and fluids. :)
I'm looking forward to some "basement antics", okay?
