Christmas comes a little early in Vancouver!

I had a call from the surgeon's office today (23rd) and I am "officially" scheduled for January 9th, 2009 - a week after my birthday! I can still be bumped if some nasty emergencies pop up, but as this is an "official" date, even if that happened, I would be re-scheduled as fast as possible. Lots of time to eat, drink and be merry over the holidays with family and friends!

We are hunkered down here in the middle of yet another big snow storm. This one has dumped another 6 inches at least (still falling) and the three big ones to date have given us a foot and a half in the back garden and still growing - the birds are having a hard time finding anything to eat! It will be the first time since 1978 that the WHOLE of Canada has had a White Christmas
