My surgeon called and my surgery date is January the 8th (2009)

i will be monitored closely with this by him as on the 5th he's

instructed me to come off my warfarin at home, and i am scheduled

to be in hospital for morning of 8th,if he happened to get an urgent

matter with another patient then i'd be rerouted for the 12th,but

surgery is definately scheduled for 8th of Jan,my mom's birthday.

So definately anything urgent for him on 8th i still have to be there

the 7th and if need be they will route me the 12th have to,at least i

have a date,im estatic.WHOO HOO sure not the way i reacted 16

years ago for my first surgery:):):)

So thought maybe you'd be interested i just got the call.:)

:D:D:DGREAT NEWS!!
I have followed your story since I joined this forum and have agonized with each obstacle you encountered. I am truly glad that the date is set and everything I'm sure will go smoothly. My very best wishes for a successful surgery and a truly smooth uneventful recovery.:)

I am so happy to read this post. It's been a long wait for you but it's finally here and it's better than the lottery because you will have your life back. Good luck you're in my thoughts and prayers.

good stuff. You'll get to enjoy Christmas, get organized and off you go. Perfect way to start the new year, with a new you!

BTW, I just love your avatar, I must post the one and only gingerbread house I ever did, with DH and MIL. Baked it from scratch, it was a log cabin, complete with outhouse. Yours looks WAY better than ours ever did!

Great news! Glad you finally got a date after patiently waiting for so long. Now relax and enjoy the holiday season. January will be hear before you know it.

I went back to put it in BOLD- couldn't do that, but put it in capital letters- good thing you wrote that Deb, because silly me, I put it down for January, 2008 instead of 2009. Guess I was wishing it was all behind you already!:D

What fantastic news, Deb. That was a long haul! Hopefully you have 'sighed' a sigh of relief'. I sincerely hope you get a chance to enjoy the holidays.

Good for you, Deb!!!

I will put you in on my prayer list, but I know you'll be A-OK.

OH, can you really believe this! After all this rigamarole you've been through, you are finally close to the door. Have a merry Christmas, a happy New Year and then pack your toothbrush and comb. You got your early Christmas present. Blessins.......
