I am guessing the strips are not in individual packing?

You might try calling the manufacturer. Sometimes they will send replacement strips for situations like this one as a good will gesture.

Thanks girls,

Waiting on callbacks and e-mailed Roche and awaiting answer from

them, pharmacist was out will call me back, let you know what the

outcome is.

OMG, this is terrible! I guess you could try using one that you have dried off and see how it goes.
I like to sit at the kitchen table and lay all my stuff out before I do the test; because if I do it in a rush, I am really likely to have a "klutz" moment too.
And I do it when hubby is not around to distract me....LOL

I do like you do Bina --- lay down everything nice & neat in preparation for the draw. My biggest fear is the monitor falling from my hands when I take it out of the case!!!

Sorry about this Zip! Call the manufacturer as Gina suggested. Perhaps they will make an exception! Let us know what you find out & good luck!!! :)

Roche just contacted me back and the 12 strips that fell into water are

definately NO GOOD

Because once they get wet due to condensation of water even drying

them to the best degree and returning them to the vial container, would

make more humidity, they don't want me mailing them to them, just had

to give them my lot# and code on the vial and serial# off the machine

They will send them immediate through my pharmacist who will have them

here express tomorrow..........Oh i feel like a klutz and they said not

to worry happens in alot of ways. So they are replacing my 12 strips i

wasted at my klutziness.

Happened so fast it makes me

All the swelling my hands are even suffering along with swelling in legs.

Thank-you Roche Diognostics:) The vial for 24 strips cost 184.00 alone

so they were very supportive in this matter.

sorry to hear about your klutzy moment, Deb, but at least Roche is replacing them, or some of them anyway. They didn't have to do that, that is nice of them, and is good for the rest of us Canucks that home test to know that their custober service is decent.

Wonderful to hear they are sending you replacement strips..... a very decent thing for the company to do. Speaks well for whichever customer service person made the decision.

Three thumbs up ..............

Three thumbs up ..............

way up for Roche. I've always found them to be helpful, knowledgeable and prompt when I've contacted them.

Zip--stay away from the sink.;) at least on testing day.

Those strips want to stay together it's almost as if they're are magnetized to each other.

Excellent outcome to a "klutzy" moment.:D

Just to update that i recieved my strips for the coagucheck

machine and they were overly generous to me sent 24 not 12 only

i had wasted and i recieved the nicest e-mail from one of employees

there suggesting their prayers are with me for my surgery when it

happens and oh my they have been just the most wonderful of people

to associate with, very understanding and very warm towards any

help they are able to lend to you. This is in Quebec, My e-mails are

full and my phone hasnot quit ringing over my stupidity i made with

the wet strips........Hats off to Roche Diagnostics. They are a bunch

of understanding folks and appreciate our doing self testing at home:)

Deb:

That's nice to hear about a company.

I do believe that because of the economy, we will find that more companies will be apt to bend over backwards to keep our return business, no matter what the field is: restaurants, service/repair firms, etc. I've already seen that at the newspaper where I work and businesses where I $pend my money.

Very heartfelt christmas card

Very heartfelt christmas card

Roche Diagnostic's sent me a christmas card with many

signatures of employee's at work there, alot of whom i had

spoken too regarding my (WATERED STRIPS) and they wished

I remember when I called the same Roche office in 2007 and they were so polite, courteous, and efficient.
Nowadays it is becoming increasingly rare to find this level of customer service.
