Our extended family is thrilled to announce twin girls:
Anna Josephine and Catherine Elizabeth ("Cate"). Anna is named for her daddy's mother, who passed away 15 years ago. Cate is named for her mommy's mother's first name and her own mommy's middle name.

They arrived Sunday morning about 7ish in St. Louis.

At 5.11 and 6.1 pounds (I don't know who weighed what), they were only 3 weeks premature. And no C-section was required!

My niece -- who had been on ordered bedrest since early September -- called me about 7 p.m. Saturday to say very happily, "We're having babies!"

I will fly to St. Louis on Saturday to meet my new great-nieces and to do some requested baking for the family. I will post some photos then to vr.com.

Our extended family greatly appreciates everyone's prayers while my niece was on bedrest. They certainly did make a difference! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

So happy to hear the twins are here, and good size too for being premature, hope everybody is doing well, have fun while visiting congratulations to you great aunt and to the parents also.

Congratulations, Marsha, to all involved!:)

Here in SE Missouri we're on baby watch awhile longer . . . December 26 is the due date, but I'm betting we get a little turkey arrival for Thanksgiving!:p

oh, wow. that is wonderful. I know your niece is so happy to have them in her arms instead. Congratulations to all. A happy ending/beginning had by all. Great she was able to deliver w/o the caesarian birth.

Double bundle of joy,Marsha

Have a great trip and lots of fun seeing everyone.

My sister said yesterday that mom & the girls will go home today.
I'm still on tap to cook casseroles for them on Saturday. (Will post 1 recipe under the recipe forum here, but it ain't a heart-healthy one! It's a 40-plus-year favorite of our family and we frequently have it on Christmas Eve.)

I was told wrong on Baby B's name -- it's Katherine, not Catherine. I suppose it's so we won't get confused over which Catherine in the family. Neither is/will be called Catherine/Katherine. However, "Cathy" suddenly became "Catherine Ann" when we got into trouble as kids. ;)

Wonderful news and good healthy weights- you have to post some pictures after your visit!

Congratulations!!! :D :D I'm so happy to read this news. Please tell your neice that I may be calling on her (and you) in 8 months time for some advice. ;) I can't wait to see pictures! :D

Congratulations...... What happy news.

Happy to hear Mom and babies are going home.
Travel safely and have loads of fun with them.
