Hi, all--
Just got back from the cardio's and quickly checking in at home before I head back to work. Needed a period sub today since I had to see Doc. Anyway, he wants to change me from Betapace (sotalol) to Rhythmol. Is anyone here, or does anyone know anyone who's on it? What are the side effects, and is this drug effective?

Doc's changed my beta blocker/anti-arrythmic so many times, I'm sure next he'll want me to start smoking pot....just kidding. :p

Thanks for any input...

Thanks for the info, Bina. I was on atenolol from 1999 until Nov. 2006, and then sotalol from Nov. 2006 until yesterday. Despite all the dosage adjustments, I still have had awful PVCs. So now Doc wants me to try Rhythmol and see if that works better for me.

Anyone else?....

Debi

BTW, Bina, why doesn't your doc want you on sotalol?

My GP thinks Sotalol is too much for me....but I woke up at 4 a.m. after a scary dream this morning and my HR was fast and "stuck there". I had to take 1/4 pill of Metoprolol when it was still fast after half an hour. It's SO frustrating.
