Oh great...I just ordered the original today...oh well. :(

You will still be very delighted with INRatio original. I will stake my reputation on it. The INRatio2 offers some nice enhancements, but by no means are INRatio customers "behind the technology curve".

Some of the enhancements are:
smaller size monitor
60 second test time (vs. ~90 for the INRatio)
Icon Menu display (vs. text for the INRatio)

The orginal INRatio is a very easy to use, accurate and dependable monitor that I believe you will be very satisfied with.

"steak my reputation" ???

Makes me wonder, did you type this or are you using a voice recognigition program on your computer.

I notice that Homonyms (such as STEAK vs. STAKE) seem to be mixed up frequently in posts to VR.com

Other examples

There, Their, They're

Hear, Here

etc.

Al:
Be glad you don't work for a newspaper, like I do. You would be amused, even shocked, at the copy we get from customers and the public. And most of the time, they insist THEY are right and we are wrong, wrong wrong!

How about:
Pepsicola, Florida
Land Basses, Texas (for Lampasas)
penile instead of penal (didn't make it into my newspaper, but it did in several others)
centurion instead of centenarian

I once edited copy that described a woman as being "adverse to nurturing her children." I was horrified and called the source to verify that's exactly what was meant. Nope, it was supposed to be "very nurturing to her children." Ooooooooops!

People are so busy today that they don't have/take time to read text. Instead, they rely on spellcheck; I have yet to find a spellcheck program that discerns word usage in a sentence.

INR Machines

INR Machines

Did any of you have any trouble getting your insurance companies to pay for your INR machines? I have Blue Cross & Blue Shield so I think I'm going to also give it a try as I drive 90 miles one way just to get an INR check. This does get old.

Any response would be appreciated.

Yes Ron unfortunately most people do have problems. If you go with QAS for a supplier, they'll deal with your insurance company, most of the others will not.

It depends on what type of BC/BS you have. Mine covered it - other have not. The fact that you have to drive 90 miles is a definite reason to have to get one.
