Just thought I'd stop in & say hi, & mention that today I made the 3 year mark since my PVR. All is going very well, I'm happy to say! To those who've just "made it over the mountain"...hang in there. It DOES get better
I've been thinking a lot about that day today. Strangely, my most vivid memory of the surgery was taking a shower in the pre-op area, with the special soap they give you. My anxiety, which was so high up until that time, seemed to wash away at that point. I had just prayed with the hospital chaplain. I was ready for this surgery. I was just enjoying the warmth of the shower. I was then startled, as the nurse came into the room & said, "Please finish up in there. You don't want to keep Dr. Starr waiting"
