Oscar, I hope you had a wonderful vacation with your family and are at peace and ready for your surgery on Thursday now. We will all be very interested to see how the "modified David reimplantation procedure" goes and wish you a successful surgery and uneventful recovery. IN Cleveland

IN Cleveland

Thank you Phyllis and all for your kind words.

My wife and I arrived in Cleveland on Sunday evening. Went through many tests yesterday and the heart cath today. Seems to be no surprises from what I've known before and reconfirmation that the aortic insufficiency is severe and now is the time! I have a meeting with Dr. Svensson tomorrow and will find out the plan for the surgery on Thursday.

I think I am as ready as I will ever be for something like this. We had a great family vacation two weeks ago. Our kids took the news very well and are in good hands with Grandma back home. The Cleveland Clinic is an excellent place and I've quickly understood why they are ranked high in Heart and Vascular procedures. I will post tomorrow if there is any change in plans and will post after the surgery and soon as possible as well.
