I might be cheating a bit with this picture, but here is a T-shirt I made (printed the transfer, my wife ironed it on). I plan to wear this under a short-sleeve buttoned shirt when I finally go back to work, and then offer to show my scar to my co-workers ... and unbutton to show this!

I want one, too. Of course, we'd all have to change the dates. I've been calling myself the bionic woman since surgery anyway! We need an option of adding a pacemaker (snicker). That's really bionics.

I've been trying to get my friends' kid, who owns a tatoo parlor, to make up some henna zipper temporary tattoos--for wearing with swimsuits, low cut shirts, etc. They're too busy putting a hemi engine on his head (don't ask me why) to make them for me. I bet I could find a bunch of zoo inhabitants who wanted some.

Heh, I'm glad you like it. The actual design is just an MS Word document that was printed [in mirror image] on a T-shirt transfer sheet you can buy in most stationery stores. It would be easy to change the date.

Is there a way to upload a Word file to the forum? I would be glad to do that.

.doc is not a file uploadable because of virus possiblilites, but if you could maybe send it to Hank, the webmaster, maybe he can convert it to a .pdf file and post it for us to download. I'm sure he loves me volunteering him for things like this. Not like he's busy or anything. :D

Fabulous T-shirt there...and a nice scar as well...08-08-08...you hit the jackpot with that date....an especially lucky date to have surgery...

I found that the silk Hawaiian-type shirts are the best. The silk fabic keeps the temperature even and doesn't irritate the healing incision area.

Plus, they repel people with good taste, so they don't pester you with foolish questions and statements of concern as you try to walk for your recovery. :D

Best wishes,

Like the shirt, would love to have one!!!!

Hey, thanks to everybody for the kind comments. I hadn't been on the forum for a bit and just now noticed the posts.

The "bionically powered" T-Shirt is just a Word document that you could edit and then print out on a T-shirt transfer.

I guess 08-08-08 was lucky, things are progressing well. i have about a week left in my cardiac rehab program, it has been very helpful
