What a day -- after dinner, my DW of 41 years, Allyne, started having very worrisome symptoms -- very dizzy, "squishy feeling" (as she described it) in neck and chest, pins and needles sensation, weakness down the left side. It closely enough resembled the stroke she suffered 12 years ago that I took her to the ER, which is a good 40 mins away from here in the boonies. Her BP when we got there was 197 over 90 something -- pretty alarming. It had been 175/84 when I took it at home before we left.

Spent 8 hours in ER -- they ran batteries of tests, including CAT scan, and so far seems okay and bp backed down to 144.80 -- something like that, but they are keeping her overnight, and plan to run a few more tests in the morning.

Okay Superbob is going to try to catch a few hours sleep before going back. Okay, I am drinking coffee at 3:02 a.m. -- that's not very bright but needed it to calm my nerves. At least this has made me forget about my knee "crisis," which seems small potatoes indeed now.

Appreciate any thoughts, vibes, prayers, as always.

Best wishes and hopes for a speedy, no after effects, recovery for Allyne. :)
You take care of yourself as well Superbob, chill, try to minimise your stress.

I agree with your self diagnosis, caffeine in the early hours does no favours

PS This happened after dinner. It couldn't be food related could it?

Caffeine to calm your nerves? No Bob, that would be alcohol.

Seriously though, prayers out to the both of you. Lets hope it was just a freak incident.

Prayers to you and Allyne, Bob. I hope to hear that she is home today and all is well.

You Certainly have my prayers Bob...

Here's wishing for nothing but the best outcome for Allyne. Please keep us posted as to how she is doing ok? Prayers and thoughts going out to you both:D:D:DHarrybaby:D:D

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Allyne, and our hearts are going out to you. What a scare. We're hoping the diagnosis is accurate and everything is easily resolved. Take care of yourself.

Hoping your wife is okay; and you too. And be sure and take a water bottle with you today--keep properly hydrated.

Bob,
I sure hope this turns out to be nothing. I will keep you both in my prayers for the duration.

Sorry this is happening and I hope all turns out well. Keeping you both in my prayers.

Gosh, you're probably back with her now. You are both in my thoughts. Please take care on those winding roads!

Best wishes.
