Great update ,Great News!:D
And so happy you are feeling better too.
My best to you always-Dina

...When my doctor finished, he gave me a "thumbs up" & said, "everything looks great sweetheart!" I was so relieved tears were streaming down my face!..I have to go Tueday to see the doctor & get a full scoop of all his findings & recommendations & to see what' next on the agenda. But, I'm very optomistic & very hopeful at this point. And I feel great which is the most important thing of all!!...
Very good news; hope it gets even better :) .

Glad to hear the GREAT NEWS Norma.

Hope you continue to 'feel fine' for years to come.

I'm curious about the 14 hour requirement to lay flat on your back. Even in the "good old days" I seem to recall it was more like 6 hours with a fairly large and heavy Sand Bag on the insertion site.

My local hospital now has a technician apply 'just enough hand pressure' to prevent leaking for 30 minutes with a nurse monitoring vital signs, then they apply a "Pressure Bandage" and send patients back to their room (or home?). They've tried everything (I'm guessing), including Large C-clamps (OUCH) to pinch the large vein or artery in the leg (whichever was used). Hand pressure always seemed to work best but is hard on the person applying it, at least it was before they went to applying 'the minimum pressure necessary to prevent leaks'.

Good News

Good News

I'm so happy to hear the good news concerning your cath and am hoping the Tuesday news will be just as good. I'm new to the site but the problems we have seem to create a bond which is easy to form and easy to maintain. And I must say I was devastated when you gave your initial report several days ago, and have been checking the forums for updates.

Anyway, congratulations on the good news and continued prayers, thoughts and wishes for even better news on Tuesday!

Thanks for the update! Hoping for more good news tomorrow. All the best, Brian Mc

A W E S O M E ! I'm so happy for you. Wish I had a CD of my cath, I was really looking forward to seeing inside my heart (weird, I know), but I was such a heap of nerves they had to dope me until I was pretty well gone. Don't remember seeing a thing !
