Thank you to all my friends for the lovely well-wishes and advice. It is so comforting to know that I am not alone in this struggle.

I went to the ER yesterday with a prayer in my heart that they will catch something on the ECG and they DID! For the past week I have these really weird flutters in my chest and not the normal "PVC/PAC" that I am used to and even the nurses said the ECG looks strange and my GP had a look at it and said she is going to fax it to my Cardiologist today.

My BP is normally loooooooow 100/70 was the highest thus far) and last night at the ER my BP was 149/98 and HR 102! I think it is stress!!!

Im so glad you went to the ER and they caught whatever is going on on EKG. Hopefully now your cardio will sort things out for you. Hang in there, you seem to be coping very well. High hr alone can make you stressed and anxious. Sending a prayer up for you.

Sorry you are still having problems, hope things improve for you soon, all the best.

Glad they caught it and hope this resolves soon. You deserve to get some answers and to be able to get on with a complete recovery.

That was a good move! Hopefully your cardio can get this sorted out. Stress can play a big part in how you feel. I'm not saying it's the cause of your problems, but it can definitely increase them. I had 5 years of experience with that. If you'd like to know what I did to help with the stress, PM me. I've posted on it here before - but can't find it.

Glad to hear you went to the ER and got checked out. It's always better to be safe than sorry. I hope they get it sorted out soon and your back on the smooth road to recovery. Best wishes continue...

I think it was very smart of you to go to the ER. If someting can't be decided over the brief EKG there, you can request to have a heart monitor for a week. It comes in a little suitcase, you attach the little sticky patches as you are instructed to do. Then when you start feeling your arythmmias, you plug in, record them. Then you call the "service" and play the sounds to them over the phone. Somehow this all gets analzyed and bingo! you learn what those nasty feelings are all about.

Good luck! I hope it's all just part of the healing process for you!!!

Best wishes.

Marguerite

your BP readings are high compared to what they were prior to surgery. I've noticed the same thing in that my BP prior to surgery was normally in the 100/60 range. Now Im anywhere from 125/70 to 139/75. My resting heart rate however has gone down into the low 70s pretty much.

Hopefully your docs can figure out what the issue is, you've been battling your whole post-op so it seems, would be nice for you to get a repreive and have some normalacy.

Well it would be nice to know if I still had any effect on a womans heart whatsoever. :(

If not the heart, would you settle for affecting other body parts?:p

Smiley,
Hope you get everything sorted out after the cardio takes a look at the tape. You've really had a rough recovery!

Smiley, I'm so sorry you continue to have problems. I hope they get you sorted soon so you can start feeling better. You are long overdue.

Ross, post you "flash" here and I'll tell you if my heart skipped or went haywire :D;)

Just do it quick! I am going in to get a 48 hour holter EKG "installed" at my Cardio's office tomorrow. I am sure they will find the little bugger that is hassling me so much and sort it out.

It is 02h02am at the moment... I have insomnia... wonder if Ross' posts have anything to do with it

Thanks once again you guys and girls. You are great!
