Maybe

Maybe

I'm looking down at the scales and it still says 170.

However, I think I just might see a little of the line on the right.

In a doctors office that might be -.02...or not. LOL!

My wife says its all of the cookies I eat and the beer I drink.

I think it's her fault with the great food she cooks.

At least I didn't gain and at my age (66) that's good news.

I've already reported our total losses, but here's the full report.

CINDY:

Starting Weight: 170.4
Last Week: 154.0
This Week: 151.6
Weekly Change: -2.4
Total Loss: 18.8

WISE:

Starting Weight: 204.8
Last Week: 187.8
This Week: 184.2
Weekly Change: -3.6
Total Loss: 20.6

Take "maybe" and don't ask any questions.

On WW one regular beer is 3 points, I think. Lite Beer is 2 points. Your average cookie is 5 points or more. Are these being consumed by the serving or by the package? :D

You guys are just showing off;):D....Way to go Cindy and Wise!!!!....Rock on:D:D

Whew! I dared to look at the scale this morning and I managed to STAY THE SAME!!! Don't ask me how, since on Wednesday I was up two pounds, but I'll take it! :D

I also just got back from a 25 minute brisk (for me) walk. I'm sweating buckets now. I'd love to take a dip in a pool... Too bad we don't have one. :( I really don't want to go to the public pool. Maybe I'll call up my MIL and see if I can go over there this afternoon??? In the mean time, this is the first lazy day home alone I've had in over a month... Part of me says I should use the time to just read and relax, and another part says I should use the opportunity to clean the house... Guess which part will probably win? ;) :D

Way to go Niki!!!....I think we will all have a good summer of shedding......pounds that is :D:p

Okay, I have a confession to make... I've been having cravings lately. For green olives! Don't ask me why. I've managed to go through two jars in less than two weeks! At least I found ones that are low sodium (65 mg vs. the 300+ of most). But still, this craving thing has got to stop! It's one thing when you just eat them with stuff, but when you're standing at the fridge eating them right out of the jar?! Someone help me!

Yea! No gain!

Olives at the fridge - you're crazy! :D

Today I decided to join the "National Body Challenge" on Discovery Health. Mostly because they give you a daily menu to follow and menus to choose from, or you can put in what you eat and it calculates the calories and such for you. It also has suggested exercise. I TRIED to follow the "beginner" exercises and thought my legs were going to DIE!!!   But it was kind of fun too. Each day there's different recommendations.

I'm cooking some of their suggestions right now: almond crusted chicken tenders, zucchini pesto, and cucumber salad. When I told hubby what we were having he said "Sounds good!" That completely surprised me. He's usually a one-dish kind of guy. Hope it's good! :D

Sounds like a success in your household today. Maybe this will be an avenue that will involve your hubby more in the "process." Good for you, best wishes, and your meal does "sound good."

Niki, thanks for the heads up on that. I joined too! The exercises look great.

Karlynn: That is great ! So we both finally lost-YIPPEEE!! now to keep it away
and lose more-I can feel it, it is gonna happen for us this time. Can you
believe 1.5 lbs. and all of a sudden....HAPPINESS:)

Gnuasgal: Olive cravings.... UH-OH:D 'seems real close to pickle cravings;)

Cooker: A real accomplishment!! I quit a year ago and never believed I
could overcome the nervous 'oral-Freudian' addiction ,but I did, so
miracles DO occur

Don't think that thought didn't cross my mind! But that would be VERY bad, given the fact that all the docs say I have a 50/50 chance of dying if I were to get pregnant! That is certainly not the way I want to lose weight!

I'm not worried, though. I've gone through this particular craving before without the added side effect. ;)

Cool! Let's hope it works for both of us! :D

I'm drinking a fruit smoothie from the site right now. It's yummy. :D Lunch will be tuna and crackers.... Dinner will be more of a challenge, though, since we're getting together with family... But I'm determined to not go overboard!

I know olive oil is very healthy stuff so I guess olives are, too:

However, Superbob's cravings run toward scones.

Right now, we have the remains of DW's birthday cake -- still nice and fresh -- and just the two of us here. Granddaughter off to beach with parents. What to do with that cake? Too good to throw away. Maybe I can persuade DW to freeze some of it before Superbob nibbles it all away.

Help! Isn't it a proven scientific fact that if you eat a delicacy such as a buttercream batter birthday cake in just small slice increments (albeit many of them), the total caloric consumption is far less than if you had eaten that same amount in one large chunk? Superbob is having the small slices with his morning coffee, and it's a large cup requiring many small slices to reach the desired symbiosis of java and cake. :p:)

Your birthday cake or that of an immediate family member contains no calories, fat or sodium?..cut a big piece and save yourself some trips:D

Well, I have now eaten so much of it, I feel almost sick, which I guess isn't surprising since being a type 2 I am really not supposed to eat much cake at all, unless made with Splenda, and the bakeries don't do that. And now for the day I have my daughter's 3 dogs to take care of; that's in addition to my son's 2 (well, okay Sadie is mine, but was originally my son's). Sometimes I think my children should have gone into the kennel business, but I guess they figure I am the kennelmaster. Never mind that the kennelmaster has a knee that must need reconstruction because therapy is doing zilch for it. Sorry, feeling rather depressed this morning and needed somewhere to vent.
