Maybe we should do a trial and see if this Glucosamine makes any difference...I will try it for my arthritic spine and my hubby has volunteered to try it for his dodgy knee...he sends his sympathies to Superbob;).

Great GP report there Superbob!~

Hey, maybe we could get a nice research grant! :D Thanks, Ton.

I guess I will try it even though these kinds of supplements seem to elevate my blood sugar somewhat. Will have to keep an eye on that. Maybe I would trade a few points on sugars for being able to walk normally again. :)

Sunday Chat....witnesses were on hand.......

The terms can not and will not be revealed.....I would suggest that all speculation be dropped:cool::cool:

It's time to put the innuendo and allegations to rest!

The Ref issued a ruling on Sunday Chat (after the Chimp specifically asked for clarification) that prunes maybe consumed; however, prune juice is still on the banned substance list.

If anyone wonders, why the distinction between the two, the answer is clear. Please refer to the section quoted from the official Cookers Weigh In--FridayThrow Down rulebook.*

*p. 438, paragraph 3, line 2: " . . . the Ref has the sole authority, at her own discretion, to ban or allow any substance in the weigh in--throwdown without regard to previous rulings and any so declared substances remain or are disallowed according to her whim. Authority is based upon her female gender and the long acknowledged ability of females to do as they want, anytime they want, without regard to any other mitigating circumstances."

LOL! Moral of this episode: ALWAYS read the fine print. :p:p:p

I thought I heard this in a Lifetime Network movie once as I was surfing channels looking for a more manly show. Of course, this was the only line I heard before I surfed on. :D;)

Start dancing, sugar plum!;);)

Wise, Lifetime might be guilty of plagarizing my copyrighted material. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they put my name in the credits.

In the Wise & Cindy WW horserace, Cindy is again a nose ahead and very celebratory about it. Ref, are there any Throwdown regs that prohibit excessive celebration?

In reality, I'm glad she's doing well. She had a "female" week last weigh-in, so she's making up for that this week.

I guess I'll have to add some prunes to my fruit salads.

Hmmmmmmmmmm...that's weird.

Hmmmmmmmmmm...that's weird.

I'm pretty sure I posted a comment here this morning regarding my weigh in at WW last night. It appears to be gone. I'm not sure what happened there.

Anyway, I was not a very big loser this past week, but I was a loser nonetheless. To the tune of .4 lbs:rolleyes:. It seems to be a struggle lately just to keep off the weight I've taken off so far, so I guess I have to try a little harder this week. The good news is, the .4 lbs gets me to where I have an even 88 lbs left to get rid of. I know it will take a while, and I'll have to be patient...and "good", but I'll get there some day.

Wise, I can relate to your "horserace". My husband, Ray is not even officially on WW, but lost more in the first few weeks than I did:eek:. That is sooo not fair! I'm glad to see him lose weight, mostly for his own health and well-being, and he does have as much to lose as I do...but he'd better not get there before I do. :p That will just make me look all the fatter, don't ya think?

Weight is lost by the elimination of waste....most men have a larger reserve of waste and therefore can eliminate it at a faster rate.....this is known as the FOS Syndrome?..So the ladies will just have to live with the fact that men have the potential to be bigger losers:eek::rolleyes::p

You sure FOS doesn't just apply to chimps? :p At least in the shoveling mode.
:p

Hey, maybe we could get a nice research grant! :D Thanks, Ton.

A grant would be great...I have seen the price of Glucosamine....I dont think it would affect your blood sugar, isnt it made from shark cartliage or is that the Chondroitin?...too many ads on TV.;)

I may NEED a grant to afford it! I already buy a pricey glucosamine supplement that the vet recommended for Superdawg -- maybe I should buy stock in whoever manufactures this stuff. :D

Hey folks,
I actually weighed myself so thought I would chime in. I am currently 199. I went to the doctor the other day for a physical (the wife made the appointment and told me I was going), got on the scale and was rather surprised by what it said. I only have 12 more pounds to my ideal weight.

Something funny happened at the doc appointment, they did a blood test, a couple of days pass and they call with the results, they speak to the wife and tell her they need to see me again, they give her the numbers for my cholesterol and say they are concerned so please schedule an appointment right away, which she does for me of course. I get home and she tells me what happened, gives me the numbers, total cholesterol 179, good cholesterol 43. I said they were nuts and I was not about to go for a follow up with those numbers, she makes me go anyway. The doc comes in and tells me they wanted to see me because of blood sugar, it was 117 and prediabetic so they needed to discuss diet and activity, I ask her if the fact that the blood test was done at the end of the day may have had anything to do with it, she asks "weren't you fasting?", heck no, I had been eating all day. They redo the test while fasting and do the a1c, comes out to 4.7, everything is perfect.

The best part is my wife was on my case about my 3 pint a week ben and jerrys addiction, she had a physical the day after mine and her cholesterol was 220. :p I told her she should eat junk food once in a while her cholesterol would probably be better.

That is a funny story. Your 4.7 A1C is spectacularly good -- keep enjoying that Ben and Jerry's! :D I will envy you. I have worked hard to achieve a 6.01 A1C and I will make do with Breyer's sugarless.

Ok it's Wednesday and time for your weekly Chimp Talk:p....I hope everyone has a losing streak going...I seem to be stuck...but after review of the week's eating....go figure:rolleyes:....I will suit up and show up Friday and report.....

ps...inside trading tip.....the Ref has allowed prunes...buy as much stock in SunSweet as you can...I plan an all out assault on the commodities market later today:cool:
