That depends on how far west Mary wants to travel ;). A picnic would be cool.....or a bunch ... either way :).

Cort,

How long will you be in Dallas? Arriving Wednesday.

*chuckles*

Nope, darlin', I'm firmly in IL right now ... heading to TN this weekend. I'll be in Dallas in OCTOBER ;). He he he

Sorry to disappoint.... BUT ... I hear there are quite a few wonderful people in the Dallas TX area ;). I've eaten with a few of 'em :).

Cort,
Yep, great people in TX:) Unfortunately....we won't have a moment to visit this trip.:(

Will keep looking for a local gathering! If I am in town....you can count me in.

...Our favorite place in Racine is O & H Bakery. They make the best Kringle in the world...LINDA
Just searching around and found this thread, another wisconsinite here (cheesehead), from Waterford. I'll agree with you on these kringles, though our cardios might freak if they found we were eating them.

Kringle is just one of the little indulgences of life. We owe it to ourselves, right? And what our cardios don't know won't hurt them...not sure about us though.:D LINDA Gosh, thinking about a pecan kringle is making me hungry.

I'm also opening this up to say YES! I am a Wisconsinite, always will be even though I live in Florida now  I grew up in Madison, graduated from LaFollette (we called it Laugh-alot) High School in 1977. Married a guy from Clintonville (40 miles west of GB) in 1979 and moved south in 1985. Gosh, I miss this time of year up there, I do get a taste of it though as hubby screams at his Packers on the TV, although they won today! GO PACK!!
