:DWent thru dental surgery at hospital ,pretty smooth.Car broke down tho:cool:,then comp was besieged with many unsavory guests,:cool:,so between car repairs and multiple scans ,things are slowly returning to normal,oh and Ive a new smile too!:p

I missed something here. What dental surgery? I'm asking cause I need all my teeth out like 4 months ago. I've got 7 right now sitting waiting to infect, infect my valve and kill me.
 
A new smile!...lucky you Yaps. Glad you successfully banished those unwelcome visitors from your computer.....I see Rossman is already asking the hard questions...our illustrious hero and leader also awaits a new smile.

I had severe infection in my jaw/and 2 teeth..it was agony,amonth anf half on antibiotics(so much that I had a yeast infection on my tongue after everything),dentist wouldnt touch me w/o cardio approval,cardio wouldnt agree unless its done in hospital so I could be monitored..soooo,on 16th last month had surgery,got a denture less than 2 weeks later,lol,they said to fast but I wasnt able to eat,ate yogurt etc...hospital was even begging me to eat... I was in pain:eek:.
Osteomylitis is the infection,almost couldnt remember name,lol.
I am STILL running a fever on a daily basis though,dr buckley has me set up for blood cultures..fever goes from 99.5 or so to 100.7 or so ..daily...:eek:.
He is quite concerned....woof..I give up lol

Well I'm afraid I'm heading in that general direction. I can't find anyone that will do it with what I can afford.

Glad to hear things are going better Yaps!

I also had my procedures last Monday - all 4 6-year molars were defective. One just needed a filling, 2 needed crowns, and one was cracked so had to be extracted with a bone fill. With insurance it cost me about $900 so far, so I feel for you Ross. I'm sure you've already checked in to the dental schools, but in Houston, that's the route that people with no insurance and little funds go.

Anyway, I went this morning to have the stitches removed, although I clipped them on Saturday because they were hanging and getting caught in my toothbrush and the mashed potatoes I was eating. The dentist got concerned because I have a blister on the gum above where they extracted the tooth. He did an xray to make sure there was nothing left in, but didn't see anything. Put me on Clindamycin, 150 mg, every 6 hours and told me to come back if it wasn't much better in a week. I had noticed that it hurt a little more starting Thursday and felt a little more puffy to my cheek, but figured this was part of the normal healing process. Of course, I'm NEVER NORMAL! I'm hoping that this antibiotic doesn't cause yeast infections!
