I just wanted to let you all know that life after surgery is good.

Today (April 2nd) is nine years post surgery for me.

I have gone from excessive uncertainty, to being relatively healthy with my heart and my valve in perfect condition.

Nine years of coumadin therapy and eight years of home testing is behind me and I can honestly say that taking coumadin has not negatively effected my life in any way whatsoever.

I have never for one second regretted having a mechanical valve installed, but I have always been so very happy that I have a mechanical instead of a tissue.

Keep up the hope and move on - Life is good and each day is a gift from our Heavenly Father.

Congratulations Hank! I wish our founder many many more wonderful years ticking away!

Congratulations Superman! Think maybe the next time you jump from an aircraft, you might use a helmet? :D
