WAIT! WAIT! Don't kick the bunny for me, Cooker! I got on the scale and it claims I actually LOST 1.5 pounds! I'm jazzed. I had hoped to weigh 145 by Spring Break and I was 145.5 this morning, so I say "good enough"! We leave for a week (no doubt filled with culinary temptations) tomorrow. (Total loss 33.5)

Wow Mary! What a woman! Keep doin' whatever you're doin'!

And there's nothing wrong with Yertle!

I'll miss next week's weigh-in, but I'll check in when we return from a week of sailing in the Pacific Ocean of the coast of Mexico!

I am so totally proud of you!

I am happy to report that I'm down four pounds! :)
Official WW weigh-in is tomorrow morning, so I hope to lose another pound by then. Bonnie would approve.

And speaking of Bonnie, Cooker you know that Bonnie's watching this weigh in/throw down with great interest and cheering everyone on.

So do as she would suggest and pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again! (hmm, song lyrics?):p :p :p

Way to go, Mary! How many more pounds do you want to lose?

Mary and PJ - great job!

I stepped on the scale today - first time since I returned from France. No loss - at all - since I started.

I have been working out just about every day - mainly weight resistance with my Total Trainer - so I'm hoping that it's partly due to additional muscle mass.

But I'm not going to kid myself into believing it's all the case.

SO - today I'm am attempting to start hard core on low-carb, high protein eating. It's what worked for me years ago and I need to do it again, without allowing myself exceptions. Also - lots of water. It's kind of a pain to start drinking a lot of water, but once the body gets used to taking it all in, you aren't running to the bathroom every 5 minutes.

What spurred me on - seeing a video of me walking around on the church chancel with my Avatar after Easter worship. First I realized how unattractive the top was that I wore and instead of slimming me (as I thought it would) it made me look like a block of flesh. (It's going in the Good Will bag) Secondly, I couldn't blame the whole block-0-flesh on the top. Sure wish I could.

Time to get serious. I don't plan on weighing again for a while, but I'll report how my eating is going.

That's Ok, Karlynn. Just don't get down on yourself. There was a picture of me in the paper one time that made me want to hibernate someplace. And the next couple of days so many people around the hospital mentioned to me that they had seen it. It was awful. I got over it though. Now I'm older and my expectations are lower.;)

Well done CTguy...for someone who hasn't officially stuck their hand up and joint the challenge you have done a mighty good job of dropping extra poundage...I am a little jealous ;)

losing 20lbs has been great but this wasn't the diet program I was looking for. Granted its worked out in the end but I would have preferred old fashioned starving myself and running ragged at the gym over OHS :)

Yep....that goes without saying.....Are you joining the Throw Down or just passing through?

I am really hoping to be down at least 2-3 lbs...my biggest problem is when I eat for no reason-not being hungry, just eat to eat! I am focusing on making sure I am truly hungry before stuffing my face! Deb ps-You all are doing GREAT!!!!

Im down to 185, I'd like to get down to 180 before I get back to weight training. I expect that I will add some muscle back. My goal is to be able to wear 32-33 inch pants comfortably. Whatever my weight is at that point Im good with.

Deb...I understand and am right there with you!....I use to think I ate for no reason but there is a reason I eat when I am not hungry......I LOVE GOOD FOOD....no hidden reason...no childhood trauma.....I just love good food and it is a daily battle for me.

I might be with you on the weight loss for this week too...hopped on the scales for a preview this morning and it is headed in the right direction!!! Hang tough!!!!!

SUPERBOB turning into SUPERMOSES???

I'm trying hard to do the low-carb, high protein thing and drink lots of water. But a few sabotages have come around. Yesterday my friend next door called up and said "I'm so sick of this weather and it's making me so blue - you wanna go out to lunch?" So we went to California Pizza Kitchen - love it. The food isn't exactly low-carb. But I tried to make up for it by having a protein shake for dinner.

Still not stepping on the scales, just seeing if my clothes get bigger!

SUPERBOB is growing a beard. That may add a few pounds to his Friday weigh-in. :p ;)

I'm not shaving my legs, Friday. :p

SUPERBOB has been heavily into comfort foods this week. Last night at a nice restaurant near a local college, it was cajun meatloaf and mashed potatoes. :) But today he has burned the calories -- ahead of an expected three-day onsalught of rain, SUPERBOB has mowed the lawn, seeded bare spots and put straw over them, raked leftover leaves, and walked SUPERDAWG on the Cherry Blossom Trail. He is even thinking about walking the undisciplined SUPERPUPPY a tad to try to start getting her leash-trained.

This burst of energy was attributable to a better-than-sex cranberry-orange scone at the coffeehouse this afternoon. :D ;)

SUPERBOB doesn't know if all this will balance out well on the Friday scales, though.

Heh, reminds me of another anecdote. One day I'm running on the track with a club training group. It's a hot day and we're all sweating bullets. I think, at least I can shed my shirt and stay a little bit cooler. So I'm running around the track shirtless and another guy comes up behind me and says, "Hey Jack, you wouldn't get so overheated if you'd take that sweater off."

Four pounds!!!!:)
Ok now we are putting into place a new weight loss game?.?Catch The Ref??..And yes Bubba I have asked myself the question??what do we do with her when we catch her???.

I'm weighing today at WW.
I snuck a peek at the scales, and they look good! It's not going to be a four pound loss by any means, but considering I weighed on Saturday last week, a couple of pounds over five days is ok.:) Must be the hair loss that did the trick!;) ;) ;)
I will post "officially" on tomorrow's thread.

Know what ya mean....that's why I never bothered with a TOOTS photo.....By the time I could get around to it the hair was back and there's no way in heck that I am shaving just for a pic:D
