Hey, everyone, I just wanted to share the results of yesterday's cardio visit.
I'll make the long story a short one. As many of you know, I was diagnosed with aortic stenosis about 5 years ago, and have progressed to the moderate to severe category. No other heart issues. I'm a very active 60 year old, still jogging 4 miles a day, 5 days a week. Not fast, just fun.
Well, we have progressed to doing echo's every 6 months, as things have progressed. Every time I have a cardio appointment, I have the typical "What now?" worries. Well, this time, it stands at "Everything is just as it was last time."
So, I will keep on working, working out, watching and waiting. Next appointment not for another 6 months. Cardio says at the moment he would guess we're still 2 to 3 years away from the OR. I'm fine with that, as things are quite tolerable as they are.
I'll continue my volunteer work in The Waiting Room -- as long as I'm there for a while yet, I may as well also make it comfortable for all the others.
Thank you, everyone, for all the help and support.
