Everyone Jane is my mother. Please keep her in your prayers. She had her surgery on Wednesday and it went well, however, her blood pressure began to rise and she was sent to the Critical Care Unit on Sunday. She then developed an irregular heartbeat and went into A-Fib. When the hour looked the darkest, the Lord pulled her through by answering prayers and bringing her heartbeat back to a regular pace. The nurse said for us to "thank the Lord." After a long day Sunday, Monday saw her new regular sinus rhythm continue to increase to the point where it was up to 137 or so today - though still regular. The doctors decided that the pulse was too high and did a heart cath where they embraded(sp?) - ie - burned a very small section of her heart to bring down her pulse. It seems to have worked thus far as her pulse is now a steady 88 and her other vitals look very good. The doctors seem cautiously optimistic and while they warn that she is not out of the woods yet, they say that she is improving slowly and doing well. I am certain without everyone's prayers then this would be a different story. She told me to write everyone here because she has really found comfort in this forum and made many friends. Please keep her in your prayers. She is eating now and joking, but she still has a long way to go. I will keep you up to date.

Thank you for posting and letting us know an update. I had posted about your mom on Monday after I learned how things were going. She is in our prayers as well as your whole family............we are pulling for her!

Thank you for the update, we tend to worry here....

I'm sorry she's having to go through this, I had a nasty bit of AFib myself and it isn't much fun.

Say hi to her, she'll be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm looking forward to having her back home and posting her jokes here.

Peace,
Ruth

Thank you so much for taking the time to post an update. You are all in our prayers and we look forward to hearing that all is resolved soon.

*nods*

We certainly appreciate the update.

And, of course, your Mom (DesignLady) has thoughts/prayers coming her way....

Thanks so much for letting us know. I will keep your Mom in my prayers.

(It sounds like they did a Cardiac Ablation on your Mom - so they "abladed" her. It can be a very successful procedure. I hope it keeps her fixed.)

I'm keeping her in my prayers that all continues to go in the right direction. Some recover quicker than others. I had a couple of bumps in the road only not as severe as hers. So keep a positive outlook and we'll keep the prayers going.

Thanks for the update on your mom. Glad to read that things are going much better for Jane/Design Lady.

Your mom is in our thoughts and prayers. Looking forward to a good report in your next post.

God Bless

I am sure your mom will be fine. They know how to take care of AFib and AFlutter. I had both after my OHS. But I am just fine now.
I will keep her in my prayers. Positive thoughts and prayers going your way.
