Everyone Jane is my mother. Please keep her in your prayers. She had her surgery on Wednesday and it went well, however, her blood pressure began to rise and she was sent to the Critical Care Unit on Sunday. She then developed an irregular heartbeat and went into A-Fib. When the hour looked the darkest, the Lord pulled her through by answering prayers and bringing her heartbeat back to a regular pace. The nurse said for us to "thank the Lord." After a long day Sunday, Monday saw her new regular sinus rhythm continue to increase to the point where it was up to 137 or so today - though still regular. The doctors decided that the pulse was too high and did a heart cath where they embraded(sp?) - ie - burned a very small section of her heart to bring down her pulse. It seems to have worked thus far as her pulse is now a steady 88 and her other vitals look very good. The doctors seem cautiously optimistic and while they warn that she is not out of the woods yet, they say that she is improving slowly and doing well. I am certain without everyone's prayers then this would be a different story. She told me to write everyone here because she has really found comfort in this forum and made many friends. Please keep her in your prayers. She is eating now and joking, but she still has a long way to go. I will keep you up to date.
