All is well with me,although Im glad to have the last three months behind me, really only the first month was rough then for the most part it got a little better every day, now it mostly feels like a memory. I actually woke up twice from bad dreams that I had had my chest opened up and an animal part installed, then I slowly realized..... hey that was no dream!
I recently stopped beta blockers and am on aspirin only, so far no more Afib. the only lingering issues I have are that I have a little pain in the sternum area and I have very little feeling on the surface of my chest area, I assume this is from cutting through the nerves but does the feeling ever return?
If I have any advice to offer from my experience it would be to take it slow and cut yourself some slack and to allow family and friends to pamper you a little,I know for some of us its very hard to allow others to do for us, but if you can allow others to be there for you and express thier feelings with words and deeds, the rewards are great,I am closer to my daughters my girlfriend my brother and my sister than ever before because I was able to allow them to help me when I really needed it.
My best to you all and thanks for being there.

Kman, you are doing just great!!
Remember that you are still going to recover bit by bit. Yes, my incision area had no feeling for quite a while, then it would tingle, then it would itch. Now it is just fine.:)

Hi Kman,

Congratulations! I think I read that the VR motto was "Eat, breath, walk" or something like that? I think I shall subscribe to yours which sounds like eat, breath, walk and be pampered!

Good news about your recovery, getting off the beta blocker and no AF. Good to hear such success stories.

When I get over the moutain I want Ritz Carlton level pampering!

God Bless

Congratulations, keep it up:) wishing you many more good months and years to come.

WooHoo congrats

WooHoo congrats

Congrats on three months, I remember that I was just starting my cardiac rehad then and that was a miles stone for me, good luck with the contunuing success. That is a really good thing to hear no beta blockers, wish I could do that, but no worries. My chest was numb for many months and then all the sudden I could feel it again.
