Cort and I had breakfast together, talked a long time, then went for a countryside and history lesson in our beautiful little town. I took him into our woods, showed him a very old couple of cars there. It was a lovely time and he is now on his way back north of here and should arrive Birmingham tonight.

He is just delightful company; if you ever get the chance to meet him, it will be your good fortune.

I have pictures and will post them after awhile.
 
Ann, that sounds really great!
Some of my best trips were driving down the eastern States from Canada to Florida.
I hope Cort is keeping detailed records of his trip for sharing on his web site.

I had talked to Cort yesterday, Ann, and I know he was reallly anticipating his visit with you.
I'm so glad that you had a nice visit, but I knew you would.
You're both great people to be around.
 
I can't post the pictures. I now have xp and it won't let me install my camera so I will have to take the disc to WMart and get them developed, scan them and post them. But Cort has some, too. Our first pic was me taking his pic across the table while he was taking a pic of me. Fun.

Sorry I can't get them on tonight. I tried really hard.:mad:

Do you have a kodak? I am thinking that if you have the Easyshare program, it might be clashing with your XP. I have weened my father off of this and onto Google's Picasa2 and you can connect your camera to your computer and picasa will pick up the pictures and import them into your library....Dad finds is soooooo much easier. You KNOW I did keep detailed records ;). He he. Sharing of those will come in the next few days. I have to "catch up" on all of my boards ... so I'm not even farther behind come time to check them all tomorrow night. And, I have a few other things to do today. So, I doubt I'll get the wrap up posted anytime soon. Pictures will be a while ... need to get them resized and then sent to my buddy Ray B so he can add them to the website for me ;).

Once I get 'em resized, I'll try to remember to post a teaser or two here for ya'll.


I had such a good time visiting with Ann. We had more time together than I had anticipated, so that was good.

I have a kodak and have picasa too but it didn't work for me. There is some sort of trouble reading from my card reader. Sooo yesterday I went out and bought a new card reader that reads all sorts of cards, etc. I will install it asap and try again.

Ann,
If the card reader doesn't work, I believe you can have them put on a CD at Walmart too- much easier to download to your computer than scanning them!

Aye ... so hard to believe it's been a week today (Wednesday) since Ann and I met in FL....

AND ... tomorrow, Thursday, will be a week since this picture was taken in Nashville TN of Mary and me.....

But my goodness, I look sleepy in that picture!:p And I swear I wasn't!

You can't have a meal with Cort and be sleepy!:)

I am really glad that Cort got to hook up with you Mary and Hensy.....Now if I could only get in a position where I could hit the road and meet up with yall....I would also make sure that Ross put out his spike strips so I could be assured to stop and see him (My lead foot is aweful...it's so bad, even my cruise control is affected...LOL):D :p :D Anyway, I am glad yall got to meet up and have a great time...Harrybaby:D :D :D :D :D
 
Cort - I went uptown today via the city route we used to come to my house. There was 'traffic'! Coming home from uptown, I took that back road we used to go see the country woods property and met only ONE car all the way home.

Harry, come on down. It's lovely here.
