I'm Vicky, Peggy's sister. Peggy wanted me to post as soon as I could. I'm at the hospital's hospitality suite and am writing to you all.

After a "ROUGH" start. (I'll let Peggy fill in the details when she is better), her surgery was a success. Recovery has been slow, but steady. It is amazing what a few hours can do. She's having a hard time keeping anything down and is soooooooo thirsty. A bit of a temp. Also her blood sugar level is out of wack. All these things have started a viscious cycle.

The surgeon said everything went well with now complications. The WERE able to do port access!

So, I will let Peggy tell the rest. Hope this isn't scattered, I'm soooo tired.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear it went well, although now I'm curious about the "ROUGH" start and can hardly wait to hear her story. What she's experiencing post-op is pretty common. My blood sugar went weird, was really thirsty, and had a low grade fever, too. I bet ice chips become her new best friend for awhile. Let her know we're thinking of her, and wishing her a smooth and speedy recovery.
 
I hope her recovery goes smoothly. It's not unusual to have some little bumps in the road.

Please tell her that we want to know if George Clooney is planning on visiting her in the hospital!
 
Thanks for posting for your sister. All the little bumps in the recovery seem normal. Please give her our congratulations and best wishes for a speedy recovery- she's on the way!!
 
Happy to read this update. Thanks for letting us know and please give our best to Peggy. Sounds like all that has happened is pretty par for the course.
 
Thanks for posting the update, Vicky. I wondered this morning how she was doing, and now I know!
I guess we will get "the rest of the story" when she is home and able to post.
