Just got sprung from the hospital today. I checked in on Monday and my INR had dropped like a rock. My gastroenterologist did some juggling of his schedule and my endoscopy was done on Tuesday afternoon. He was able to dialate the esophageal stricture and did two biopsies of a polyp and some glands in my stomach. Thank God...they both came back fine!! Also, no signs of Barrett's esophagus!! YEH!:D Also with the stricture gone, I am swallowing so much better. I felt I had some trouble swallowing from time to time, but after the dialation, I really felt the difference. I guess we just compensate when things like that happen, like chewing longer, eating very small bites and drinking liquids to help food get down. On Tuesday evening, my INR was 1.18, so it took until today to get it to 1.94. My hospital stay was boring, but I don't have the side effects of the Lovenox to deal with, and I'm thankful for that. Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers. LINDA

Glad to hear you are Barrett's-free, Linda. Hope you feel completely better soon. Take care.

Linda,
It's good that you're home, and it's really good that you don't have Barrett's. That can be a dangerous condition to have.

Glad everything went so well
