Greetings and welcome to the second weigh in and the start of week three!!!! We have a good thing going here and I am very excited about the success that each of us will have!!! Thanks to each of you for making this so much fun. Lets continue the support and good old fashion ribbing.....did someone say ribs??:D :D :D Good luck and good health.

Well, I'm not weighing tonight, but I did workout yesterday and did strength training just now - both to try and combat the holiday weekend and all that it has entailed thus far.

I'm not saying nuttin' but I'm just preparing myself.

Cooker is just trying to sucker us into weighing tonight, Karlynn. NO WAY!!!

(I have heard a rumor that there will be two dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts, HOT, on his doorstep at dawn tomorrow. Quite a logistical feat. :D

Am weighing in the morning --- nekkid! (A picture probably no one wants to visualize. :D )

Loss...1 more pound..:D Total..3.........Goal..1 pound a week until Xmas.......Bonnie

I know this is being thrown down format lazy, but both Cindy and I are a big "0" this week. With a birthday coming up I'm just hoping next week isn't the same.

We had a challenging weekend with food. Saw a movie and ate too much popcorn (went when we were hungry...dummies). Had a church picnic yesterday...all good intentions thrown out the window before we got there.

NOT SO!!! I have to work today so we had our cookout on Sunday. We had burgers and the works. I stayed true to my plan but today I can have a few treats because I have weighed in (post pooh:D )

Ok here it is! But I do not expect this to continue as I will be adding carbs slowly back in th my diet. Low carb works well for me but can only stand it for about two weeks.

Starting weight---------------233
Today's weight---------------220

Total Loss-------------------- 13

Hey!!! You both posted weight loss last week!! WE will all have weeks when there will be no loss......you did not GAIN and that says a lot!!! Hang in there!!!

Starting Weight for Throw-Down: 267

Today's Weight: 262 (actually I saw a 261.5 but I am going to err upwards)

Change: Loss of 5 pounds

Extra Note:

Starting Weight July 30 at Doctor's Visit: 272

Today's Weight: 262

Total Loss since July 30: 10 pounds (2 pounds a week, on average)

Challenge: Today, we'll have daughter and her family over and wife will make gobs of sour cream dip to go with chips. I can't eat one bite of that! I am a chipaholic. If I have only one bite, then later when company has gone, I will be in kitchen shoveling in all that's left and eating all of chips. I will pretend I have some, then secretly throw away the leftovers late tonight. :)

Gooey note: My progress would not have been possible without you guys. At mid-week I made the mistake of weighing and got a discouraging reading. Was about to chuck it all and start eating a lot of unhealthy food to console myself. Instead, this forum gave me encouragement and motivation.

By Christmas, should have my "After" avatar up. :) :) :)

I had to break my own arm yesterday when the cheese cake came out:eek: And a lady at our church brought a HUGE plate of brownies yesterday!!!!!! I did not give in but I was thinking "Get thee behind me Satan.....And Push!!!!:p :D :p

If I always do what I've always done I will alway get what I always got:cool:

Starting weight: 142
Today's weight: 140
Total loss: 2

However, I must note that this is the same weight I was last week. :( I am glad I didn't gain the 2 pounds back, but I'm mad at myself for not having the willpower to resist chips and salsa. That really was what did me in. I guess I'll have to ban myself from all Mexican restraunts from now on, even though it's my favorite type of food.

I also only went to the gym one time last week. However, yesterday and today were/will be spent packing and moving boxes. Surely that counts, right?! ;)

Niki,

Congratulations on not gaining!!!! We will not lose every week so hang in there. I would not suggest denying yourself of the food you love, just try to limit portions. I know, easier said than done. I am sure next week will show downward progress!!!!

And yes, moving boxes counts as exercise!!!!!

Or there's the other saying "The definition of insanity is: Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results."

No weight yet. I just worked out. I'll weigh nekkid after I take a shower to wash off all the weight that the extra sweat will have, and before I drink a glass of water!!!!!!!

See you in a bit!

I'm back - and I need a ruling from the Executive Board

Starting weight was 155, last week it was stil 155. The next day I purchased a new scale and much to my dismay, my weight was 159 on that. I"m thinking deduct a pound or 2 to compensate for the fact that the weight wasn't "first thing in the morning weight."

Today I weighed - drum roll - 152.5!!!!! From my old scale weight that's -2.5, but I'm not weighing on my old scale.

I guess the only thing that matters is that I've lost! But Mary's accountants may be after me for what my VR donation will be.

Don't know if I am on the EC or not, Karlynn, but if I am reading this correctly, you weighed 159 on the new scale, and now 152.5 on the new scale -- so you should credit yourself with a 6.5 pound weight loss! :) Congratulations! But Mary may "weigh in" here, and of course I defer to her. :D :)
