Krispy Kremes diet food

Krispy Kremes diet food

Many members have confessed a soft spot for Krispy Kremes, I have only had them once and I found them one of the worst things I have ever eaten. If these were a suggested diet food I would now have to turn front on to even cast a shadow my diet would be going that well! :D

Your taste buds need to see a doctor:rolleyes:

Did your Krispy Kremes arrive by freighter from Loa Angeles? I never heard of a bad Krispy Kreme. Well, they are bad, but they taste good. That's what I remember from a couple of years ago.

On A Serious Note

On A Serious Note

Does anyone know the vitamin K content of dried fruits? I am mostly inquiring about raisins, prunes, apricots and prune juice. Although this a serious question I ?AM? expecting the usual S.A.:p remarks, in fact I would seriously worry about all of you if you did not take a ?crack? :D at this. More later...I am needed in the throne room:D :D :D

weight of clothes - someone suggested that you can take 2 pounds off for your clothes weight if you don't weigh nekkid. I thought that was a little conservative, so this a.m. I weighed with my pajamas on (t-shirt and cropped sweat pants) and without :D (Don't even bother asking for pictures Ross!) There was a 4 pound difference! (Much to my joy!) This was on my new scales that my daughter and husband agree are pretty durned accurate.

It's a holiday weekend here (for the US members), have fun - but be good!

My husband wants to take the Harley up to our favorite little roadside dive that serves the BEST greasy hamburgers and fries. I plan on having some.

Weigh in

Weigh in

Karlynn if you are going to be concerned about weight, it is best to weigh yourself when you rise each day post "pee" in underwear or in the "buff" at the same time each day, this is the most accurate. If you plan on keeping the svelte figure it may be best to give the "greasy hamburgers and fries" a miss. ;)

I wasn't really planning on weighing until Monday. I just was curious about clothes weight, given the previous post. I'm an avid weight watcher  so I usually do weigh in the a.m post P & P and in full birthday suit. Every ounce counts! :D :D

I'm going to do my walking DVD now, so that I don't feel so bad about the lunch my hubby has planned. I doubt I'll eat it all.

The weigh in today wasn't bad news - the numbers are going in the right direction.

At my own risk, I admit I agree with you. I don't particularly like any glazed donut. Now a high quality cake donut, or a really good Long John with caramel icing....those are the things that I'd have to be throw down for eating.

Our local bakery, Magee's, is for sale. It's a good thing I can't buy it. Magee's is the kind of bakery that produces old fashioned, family recipe baked goods. We have to stay out of there.

Karlynn,

If clothes weigh 4 pounds (or even more, considering that was just PJs), I am afraid the nurse at my doctor's office is going to be mightily embarrassed the next time she asks me to step on the scales. :D I always take off my shoes, but if I could shed ANOTHER 5 or so .... hmmmmm! :D

We have a renovated school bus down the road that sells fries, dogs, burgers
That's where we are headed today.....I'm thin, but I only order the plain hamburger....drink water,
and I steal 6-8 fries from hubby. It's a treat.

Cooker,

A quote from the Journal of the American Dietetic Association

" Some nuts such as pine nuts and cashews contain appreciable amonts of vitamin K which if consumed in large quanties may create a potential dietary interation with oral anticoagulants. Some berries such as blackberries and blueberries, green fruits such as kiwifruit and prunes may also contribute to increased dietry vitamin K intakes. In contrast other nuts and fruit are not important dietary sources of vitamin K. The data from this study will assist dietitians in counselling patients using oral anticoagulant warfarin so that patients can consume a healthy diet including fruits and nuts without compromising the stability of their oral anticoagulation therapy. "

Best you ease up on that prune juice !!!!

Man! I'm gonna have to stay away from that Mexican restaurant by our new house. We went again last night because it was the only restaurant we knew was good and we had family with us. I thought I was being good by only ordering tortilla soup. Unfortunately, they took a really long time bringing the food (actually, half that time was waiting for the rest of our party to arrive) and I ate a TON of chips and salsa again. From now on, I'm going to have someone tie my hands behind my back until dinner arrives. NO MORE CHIPS!!! I have a bad, bad feeling tomorrow's weigh in is going to make me sad.
