Hey you low-carbers....have you tried Breyers' Carbsmart chocolate ice cream? It's really good and it has only 4 carbs per 1/2 cup serving. I understand that this may be a bad suggestion if sweets are your Achilles Heel.

On WW I've been eating lowfat Breyers Chocolate ice cream. Doesn't taste lowfat and is 2 points per 1/2 cup.

Thanks for the info........Lets see, 1/2 cup=one spoon full:D

We are entering a perilous time -- FOOTBALL season! Celery stalks and beer? I don't think so. :D Maybe some of them baked chips Wise was talking about.

I AM a peanut butter person, though. However, prefer it on apple slices-- better yet, right out of jar (but I'll try not to do that). :D . Cut-up celery has been a staple on my 4,375 previous diets. I am sick to death of celery.

With football season starting, you can use me as good motivation as my weekly weight begins to resemble that of an interior lineman in the NFL. :D You will look great by comparison. :)

1> celery sucks
2> if you are going to drink, drink booze (no carbs). I lost 60 lbs before on Atkins/vodka:D
3>hell, I don't know what 3 is, football season will be hard but so is buttoning my pants:p :p

If you need a boost for motivation..go park your car up close to an all you can eat Chinese Buffet. As I sat in window drying my nails (manicure)I was next to the Sunflower Chinese place. Everyone coming out was HUGE..rolling fat, and most under the age of 40...so I drove home and got 1 piece of whole wheat bread and some lean ham for lunch.....now, that;s a motivation..Bonnie

Try this -

I did this a lot while I was low-carbing and wanted something crunchy and salty. Reminds me I need to order almond flour.

Preheat oven to 350
Put a thin layer of almond flour (you can buy online or at some whole foods stores) on a baking sheet

Grate fresh parmesean cheese and layer over almond flour until it is covered, but not thick.

Bake in over until it begins to brown - this doesn't take long, maybe 5 minutes.

After it cools you can break up into chip size pieces and store in a zip-lock bag.

Melted cheese will pick up some of the almond flour, but not all of it, so don't think you've done something wrong if it all doesn't stick to the cheese.

This is really tasty folks!

Does it have the consistency of peanut brittle???? Sounds good.

Okay ladies, I have been to the grocery and bought me some celery hearts (yum!) for snacking (tolerable, I suppose, with very light coating of peanut butter). Also bought some Lean Cuisines.

Do I get a hug or something? ;) :p

Also, Cooker, I was mostly funning about football watching. If I have a beer, it's usually one or two of those very small Coors Lights -- 60 cals.

And Bonnie, I used to think life was not worth living without Hellman's Mayo. I have managed to get used to the lite version (40 cals tbsp). That's as compared with 90 cal tbsp in "real" Hellman's. Still can't live without some form of it.

Now, low-fat, low-sugar peanut butter? I mean, what's the point? Can't live without full-fledged peanut butter. :D Grew up on it. Jif or Skippys -- they're the best.

I'm not a big proponent of low-fat for the exact reason that Cooker mentions. Fat adds flavor. They take away the fat, they have to do something for flavor - so they add sugar.

I use the regular mayo, I just don't use much of it.

This is just me - because of how my body reacts, but I look for carbohydrates on nutritional info, and then fat. I try to keep the carbs low.

Bob..Glad summer is over..so I will not have any more M&M sandwiches..:D .for my Yankee friends..that is Mator and Mayo sandwiches on White Sunbeam Bread.:p Fresh tomatoes out of the garden...:) ..Bob, I think you may need to wean yourself from mayo...I had one Lite Miller beer. last night. I told hubby..I am drinking 1 tsp of mayo.:p 90 calories for each?..Ross, love the cartoon. We need more Non-dieters to cheer/make us laugh as we go forward with this torture.:D Bonnie

Okay, I was really bad this evening. I went out to dinner with my MIL and BIL. We went to Macaroni Grill (Italian) and I thought I'd be good by having a soup and salad combo. But the "cup" of soup as huge and even though I told myself to eat only half of it, the whole thing was gone before I knew it. The salad was pretty small (balsalmic dressing, so not too bad) with grilled chicken on it. Unfortunately, my BIL ordered fried calamari and it was sitting right next to me. I kept telling myself, "just a taste, don't eat too much" but ate much more than I should have and even dipped it in the horse radish dip. I walked out completely stuffed and feeling terribly guilty. I realize that my selections were probably better than ordering pasta, but I wish I'd been able to resist that calamari. I'm such a wimp!

I've been craving Mexican since yesterday and really want to go to one of my favorite restaurants tomorrow night to celebrate with my husband (we're closing on our first home tomorrow). Unfortunately, I know I'll be horrible and eat way too many chips and salsa (it's one of my downfalls). So I'm trying to figure out if I should just chance it, go in with a plan and tell them to only bring the chips and salsa when they bring the meal, or to skip going out altogether... Why does being good have to be so hard?!?

I also have only worked out one day this week. But surely work counted as exercise today. I didn't sit down the entire 9 hours of work, except my 20 minute lunch. My feet are KILLING me!!!

Well, as long as it's confession time. My daughter ordered a pan pizza for dinner from our favorite Chicago-style pizza place. I had one piece.
