Well folks, Keflex did nothing, and it appears neither is Augmentin. Unless Doc Doolittle has something else in his playbook, the towel will be thrown in and I'll be off to the place that I hate the most.
 
I am sorry, hon. However, hopefully, you can avoid the ER and be a direct admit??????? Tends to make me feel a little more human.

I assume you will be doing the IV antibiotics thing? I still have the memories from my last but it was only a few days and I just tried to enjoy having nothing to do (and not feeling guilty about it) and having breakfast in bed.

Please keep us posted. Praying and sending you big hugs.

I'm sorry; I missed that too, that you have an infection. Please take care Ross. I hope the doctors do everything right for you.
 
So sorry Ross. What I left out in my story of our friend prone to cellulitis is that he's been hospitalized twice for it in a year and a half. The oral antibiotics never seemed to work as well. Best wishes friend. You will be in my prayers. (Gina, Mary and I could send you photos of our faces and you could make the nurses wear them as masks.)

You know, I think this hospital and I would get along much better if they simply took a portion of my income every year and invested it, so that when I need services, it's payed for already.
 
Oh, da*n. I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. You going to be there in Canton? You know you are special to this bunch and if we were closer, we'd all be in your room with you. God bless you, my friend. I will send special prayers until we hear the next chapers - or verse.
 
I'm missing this story....just caught something about cellulitis...I've had it twice about 5 years ago.
We tried 2 different oral antibiotics, nope, no good at all.
So I went to the ER twice a day and was connected to an IV for 2 hours each time.
(We were offered a home nurse, but at the time I had a crazy dog, so I had to decline.)

That's the problem! You are going to a dang animal doctor!;) I think vets charge just about as much as the kind that practice on humans! ;) So you might as well put that bad boy to rest and go to the real McCoy!

Seriously, I hope and pray that you can steer clear of the bed and breakfast placethat you so dearly love. Please keep us posted so I'll know when to uncross everything I currently have crossed. Sending hugs, love, and prayers. J.
 
Sorry to hear that you're going to have to visit the den of iniguity that you so disdain for yet another lesson in financial humility.

Maybe they can do an outpatient IV or something to keep you out of there. My thoughts are with you.

Sorry to read you are having another bump in this washboard road we call life. You better be well by time the Orlando trip rolls around. Of course, I guess after you get that new and glorious sewer system installed I could come see you at home.:rolleyes: Glad to see your S**T will finally get the respect it deserves.:p :p :p :D
