I am sending out prayers for everyone in its path. We may get lots of rain in Georgia. We are leaving for Tunica,Ms. Sunday for vacation. Last year we had reservations in Biloxi the weekend after Katrina hit.

Farmers in Ga. need the rain..S.C., too..Just hope he does not hit too hard. Too much rain hurts too...Lost a little girl in our county when she tried to get a small toy..out of a culvert next to her house..Swept away..into the pipe...:( one of the hurricanes last year.) that brought too much rain. is her zip. Does that zero in on her section of Orlando for you? She lives about 3 miles from John Wycliffe Blvd in a newly built up area, works at Wycliffe Bible Translators, is not too far from the international airport. We fly down and spend 3 or 4 weeks with her in Feb or Mar. Nothing prettier than flying in after dark. Little scary too! Love visiting there but get anxious to get back home.

She moved to Orlando 6 years ago after living not too far from our Ross for 18 years, working in the steel industry.

Son just called on his way home. He lives in Sarasota/S. Bradenton area. He said the storm has veered enough eastward that his house is just outside the cone. However, as he drove, I mentioned outer bands and he was just getting one. I guess they'll get them all night. This one is a rain producer. I pity those S.C. island groups. Bonnie, you might wanna pick another place.

Disney, hunker down. and the rest of y'all in lauderdale, wpb, boca, orlando, ft pierce.......

Ann..Yes..We will put it off for another week. Nothing worse than sitting in a motorhome in the rain. Looks like a lot of rain for all of S.C...N.C...from Ernesto..in the next few days... Bonnie

VR.com Weather Test

VR.com Weather Test

It looks like almost a direct flyover for Ernesto and the VR.com servers.

We shall once again see if all of the redundancy and protections put in place around the Network Operations Center do their trick.

Servers and high water

Hank, I frequent anotther forum at catsailor.com .Their servers were in New Orleans I think. Thankfully on the second floor! The guy that runs them managed to keep the site up all through KAtrina! Not sure how he managed it, but boy am I impressed! I think he lives in Texas now. Hope your guys have even better luck, and I'll keep them Florida folks in my prayers too! Brian

This storm was absolutely nothing! Not even lightening strikes or strong winds. I guess we have had our bad days and God knows about it.:D

I hope it passes fast because we are heading from Ohio to the Raleigh area tomorrow morning. Great timing. :D ;)

Meeting Debbi (dj/utvolsfan) for lunch tomorrow. Really looking forward to meeting another VR.com family member.

Actually, Rob, we will probably be going right by you. I will wave when I cross the Blue Ridge Parkway area.
