Know of any Anxiety forums?

We are so blessed to have this wonderful community here for heart valve issues. Has anyone here touched on a similar forum dealing with anxiety? I don't even know where to begin looking, but I have a family member who might truly benefit from this kind of community exchange. More social pressure and lack of self confidence type stuff.

I'll watch for and honor any PM's, also, if an open discussion isn't comfortable.

I figured it wouldn't hurt to have some information on this anyway, as it has come up in many threads.

Marguerite, tru About.com. They have forums on just about any subject you can think of from sexual abuse to stopping smoking. Explore that site and I bet you may find what you are looking for. Good luck

Marguerite, Hennsylee and I have been using the heart forum for a few years now. She is right; about.com has forums on just about any topic you could chose. I found this one which looks like it is pretty active. He/she would have to sign up in order to post but could brouse for a while.

If this site doesn't come up for you just try www.about.com and click on the health site on the left side. Then scroll down to "forums".

when i was looking for chd groups i also went to yahoo group and msngroup home page and did a search, then checked them out w/out posting until they seemd what i needed. I have since done the same for back pain and something else(maybe memory? lol) Lyn

Thank you for your suggestions. I'll go check them out!! I just hope to find a warm and caring group such as this one!! Wouldn't want to steer someone already frustrated to the wrong kind of place.
