Well what do you expect? It's Ozzfest after all, in fact, in should be hotter. :D

Deadbirds?

Deadbirds?

Mary,

It's not just the heat -- it's the Cardinals getting swept in four by the lowly Cubbies at Wrigley and then going back home and losing to the Phillies last night! Ugh! That makes me really irritable! I have tickets to see them in September when they come to DC. Hope they have gotten back on track by then. (And also that it's cooler then!)

Oh Gee. Thanks Bob!
I had forgotten that little piece of bad news! :( :( :(
Now that you've reminded me, yes, that's another source of discontent in my life! (I thought it was suppose to be The Winter of our Discontent, but, oh well! )
And now that I know that you have baseball tickets, and I haven't been able to get any myself, I have another well of unhappiness to drink from! ARRRRRGGGGG
Told you I was irritable!

IRRITABLE??????? A GROSS UNDERSTATEMENT!

However, that's mitigated by taking off for Colorado tomorrow - we'll be at about 8500 ft. and the heat's broken out there and there's never any humidity anyway. When it's hot there you roast rather than steam. Should be in the mid-40s at night - yay!

See all of you back here in two weeks! Best of luck to all who are having surgery.

Really relieved you put the comment that you were feeling that way too on my blog Mary cos Ive been like it for 2 days now - just feeling uurgghhh! Have managed to fall out with a friend being in this mood too - think he's going to avoid me like the plague for the next few days! lol
Hope your mood passes soon and you feel back to your normal lovely self!

Georgia,
So the question is whether to be served roasted or steamed, huh?:p :p :p
Or, out of the frying pan and into the fire? :p :p :p
I've heard that the smoke from the Nebraska wildfires has drifted down into NE Colorado, so be careful. You don't need to be smoked along with roasted!
Enjoy yourself and we'll see you in two weeks! :)

Irritable? Who's irritable? Just because all 5 of my new Endless Summer hydrangea bushes are burning up in this heat, not to mention the rest of my newly planted front of the house.

Oh Karlynn,
I forgot you did all that replanting.
That is disgusting!
And I'm moaning because I've been outside watering; at least I've got stuff left to water!
I'm sorry!:(

And, we still have two months of 100 degree days left

Irritable is too pleasant a term for what is chewing on me. I am short tempered, surley, and behave like I had alligator for breakfast. I've just plain had enough of the 100+ degree days, especially now that the humidity has added to the problem. Today I have little ripples of sweat running down my cheeks and ending in brown spots on my new white shirt......Grrrrrrrrrrr. Have to go now to wrestle another alligator for lunch....or at least it seems that way.

Emma,
When I read your blog I wondered if it was hot over there too!
I have always been cranky in the heat. My first summer on Earth (1952) there was record breaking heat. I've always wondered if that's the cause.

What you should do Blanche, is just buy it in those new bags. It taste almost as good as fresh caught, with none of the nasty mess. Cold Alligator
salad is a lot better than Tuna or Egg!:D :D
Stay cool:cool:

I don't ever remember being so hot. And irritable, and cranky!! And it feels hard to breathe when I leave the ac...heck, just going upstairs where there isn't ac, it feels like a wall hitting me. I think this heat is much harder on us valvers than the general population!!
