I was just wonderring if anyone heard from Enteric, I know he posted right after he got home, has anyone heard from him since? Lyn

I've seen him lurk sometimes. We need to PM or email him and find out what's up. He went in to surgery from here probably feeling unwanted, which was a huge mistake as we all know. :(

I think there were a number of people keeping in touch with him and his very nice mom when he went into surgery and after. I know I was. I don't think he went into surgery feeling unwanted.

Actually, There were a number of reports on his progress, and he made several brief posts after his surgery. As you may recall, he had a pretty rough time with his surgery, and wound up with a pacemaker, among other things. His hospital stay wasn't a triumph of medical science, but more the kind of ride that can make you wonder if you got better in spite of medical care.

I'm glad to hear he lurks on occasion. I hope he's finding answers to questions. However, with the bad time he had, he may not wish to dwell on this particular adventure in his life. You never know how it's going to affect someone.

Best wishes,

Best wishes,

Yes, his surgery turned into one of the nightmare scenarios that some of us try like mad to warn others about. People get too over confident in statistics and numbers, while failing to realize that this whole thing is more a roll of the dice then anything betable. God knows we all want things to go picture perfect with our choices honored, but fact of the matter is, it doesn't always work as planned. People need to realize this too.

I agree. Sometimes after a bad surgery, the last thing you want to do is jump
in the fray. After my surgery in '04, I came back and the first thing I saw was
Englander's death- it made a bad depression, worse. I didn't visits for months. I hope he knows that depression is not that unusual and that his doctor will understand and help him.

Heck - I am 12 years out from my last OHS and I still get depressed sometimes. I am dealing with it right now and it is a bummer. However, this site seems to help not harm me right now. Everyone is different and I hope Eric makes his way back to us.

AHH - you sure know how to help with depression. Thanks.

This is a great place

This is a great place

for the healing of laughter among other things. Signed on and read Marguerites post on another thread. She got a laugh out of me in the first line, "Thanks everybody, except Ross" (or something to that effect). LOL! The other day/night I was here, and Ross had posted something, I think it may have been in that same thread of Marguerite's, and I thought only here can you find someone with the Devil as an avatar, that's an angel. I do hope Eric comes back! I am sure he would be a valuable presence! Gina, You have made me feel better many many times, and I hope you receive lots of comfort to bolster your spirits! All the best, Brian

I think often of Eric and wonder how he's doing. I do hope he feels nudged to give us a post and let us know he's doing okay. At some point in time I hope he will see that telling his story may help someone else out, although I've no doubt that reliving it now is probably not something he wants to do. If there were things he felt the medical personnel should have done, but didn't, or did do and shouldn't have, these are all things that will help prepare and inform other facing surgery.

But most of all, Enetric, we'd just like to see a brief glimpse of you here to know you are okay.
