When will aortic valve replacement be possible by keyhole surgery ?

Hello all, I am relatively new to all of this, can any one shed any light on when, if ever ! it may be possible to replace valve with keyhole surgery ??? Thanks in advance for any information.

Are you talking about min invasive like the da vinci robot (kind of like Gall bladder removal?) or in the cath lab?

I think keyhole replacement is basically already happening. Trans-catheter is in trials now too.

we had a 21 year old here that had AVR and his incision was quite small. Within 3-4 inches I think. That's damn close to a keyhole if you ask me.

To Bit of a chicken,
There are minamally invassive operation without the Robatic assistance. It is done by small incisson between the ribs (right side). If you have good insurance you are lucky.
