Here are some sites regarding help with various insurance issues, disputes, and access to health care and disability insurance.

They came from the pulmonary hypertension website in their resources list.

I have not read them all the way through. But many people have found ACCESS to be extremely helpful for various issues. Here is what they offer:

Advocating for Chronic Conditions, Entitlements and Social Services (ACCESS) is a free service which helps families understand issues involved in proving entitlement for Social Security Disability (SSD), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicare, Medi-Cal, COBRA and other group health continuation plans.

ACCESS facilitates the processing of your claim by collecting all medical records and evidence for the Social Security examiner. ACCESS provides a patient advocate familiar with Social Security law as your representative who will help you through every phase of filing your claim. If your initial application is denied, your advocate will review the denial, obtain any additional information needed and file for a reconsideration of your claim.

To consult a patient advocate, call 888-700-7010
or Email: [email protected]
