I met my goal of going snowboarding by six months
:D I went the 6th of January and the 26th of February. My surgery was the 28th of July. Everything went great and I did as good or better than I did last year before the surgery. The altitude was no problem all the way up to 9,000 ft.! I hope that this gives hope to some of you that have had your surgery recently, or are to have it soon.

P.S. I DO wear my helmet!

Good for you! Took me almost 5 years to get back on my skis. No physcial limitations. Had fear of others slamming in to me:rolleyes: Few months back....went up to 14,500 with no issues. Key is proper hydration! Water, lots of it. Had no desire for alcohol, which is a rare, lol. Sure it's the altitude!

Enjoy your new lease on life to the fullest! Now if I could just get up the nerve to get on a board!

Good job Joe!
Did you wear a helmet pre-op?
I'm a skier that tried snow boarding for the 1st time last month; I needed the helmet on my bottom!
