St. Jude's mechanical aortic valve recipient. July 27, 2005. Still ticking away. Chest pain is getting worse though. Just got back from ER. X-ray, ECG, Blood test, all check out fine. Anyone else experiencing sharp left chest pains? Mine's been going on for years. Getting worse lately. Next step is sonogram. Get referred to Cardiologist here in Metropolitan Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Welcome to the site. Although I have had sharp left-side chest pains infrequently over the years I've written them off as muscular pains and have never had them to the extent that I sought medical advice. This is a good forum for that type of question. Hopefully, someone will come around that has experienced what you have experienced.
