In doing some searching on hidden sources of Vitamin K, and also because I am one of those people who read labels a lot, I have some question regarding cosmetics which contain Vitamin K.

1.) Many creams used to reduce spider veins, broken capillaries, bruises and stretch marks contain a large amount of Vitamin K, as do creams to lighten up under eye dark circles. Can the use of these alter the INR?

2.) Vitamin K is shown as: Phylloquinone, menaquinone, and menadione in some product lists. Would they all be of equal concern in a product's ingredients list?

3.) Does Hydroquinone in skin bleaching compounds cause a problem for those taking Coumadin?

4.) The FDA shows the ocurrence of Vitamin K in the following: Higher plants, green and blue algae, liver, cheese, bacteria.

Can we draw the conclusion that products containing these items have to be assessed carefully?

Thanks Al.

Theopretically, I guess it could happen but I have never heard of it.
