potassium

Does anyone know why potassium instructions say not to lay down for at least 30 minutes after taking?

Maybe it's so that they are not barfed back up...??
Or do they creep back into the esophagus....??
Really, that's all I can think of....but in hospital I took the liquid potassium and I lay down afterwards.

It does a number on your stomach, so yes, it's more or less to keep your from getting sick or giving your esphogus an acid bath.
