one year ago yesterday...

We found out our son had a bicuspid aortic valve and endocarditis, and he had emergency AVR. Last night we celebrated our healthy boy and acknowledged what we've been through this year by going as a family to the Braves game (on a school night - it felt like a big deal!) It was a lovely evening and the Braves did their part by beating the Mets.

I can say after a year, that we are in a good place with this and coumadin is not nearly as scary as we thought it would be.

I am happy that your son, Nathan, is doing well. OHS is only a "bump in the road" and I wish him a long and normal life.
